In 2013 we began to develop our Corriente cattle herd specifically on our ranches that required a tougher cow. Corriente cattle are a tough breed and their roots in the in New Mexico can be traced back to the 1500’s. Their natural attributes include high fertility, early maturity, calving ease, and forage efficiency.
Our management goals were to introduce cattle to our more arid ranches that would be better suited for the country and improve our overall efficiency and productivity. We have not been disappointed! Our Corriente cattle are raised for team roping, cutting, and penning and are also sought after as butcher steers for those folks looking for leaner beef in their diet.
